When Alex told me about her New Year’s Eve wedding (on her fiance’s family farm near Trochu) I told her I was in, as long as it wasn’t an outdoor ceremony. <pause> Then she told me it was an outdoor ceremony. I’m not going to lie, I was a little terrified I’d end up frozen in a snowbank, or that our cameras would freeze and stop working. But, it was actually fantastic, and the wintry ceremony was picturesque. Alex, Devin and their whole bridal party were amazing and didn’t complain one bit about the cold.
Alex and I first met in Vegas, and we’ve had some amazing times together since then. She can go from country to city with the change of an outfit, and loves celebrities as much as her farm animals. Devin is hard working, and will do anything for anyone. Both sweet, and a perfect match. I loved visiting their farm last summer for their engagement photos, and it was really cool to see it transformed in the winter.
This gorgeous laneway is right outside Alex & Devin’s house. Simply stunning.
As an aside – here’s how bundled up Michael and I were for the wedding!
As Alex’s dad said in his speech “Alex has been running dogs since she was knee high to a husky” so it was only fitting that she made her grand entrance on dogsled.
Love my Vegas girls!!
Happy New Year everyone!! We can’t wait to share more fabulous weddings with you in 2014!
