One of the best parts of this job is variety! I hadn’t ever shot in Vegreville before, and this year was out there twice! From the beach to the farm I love the challenge of searching for new beautiful places. April and Jordan gave me an even bigger challenge – they wanted photos together before the wedding but didn’t want to actually see each other! I have to admit I was a little nervous to pull that off, I wouldn’t want to ruin the moment of them seeing each other at the end of the aisle the way they had imagined it, so we did a lot of ninja work and leading April & Jordan around by the hand with their eyes closed to make sure we didn’t spoil the surprise.
I first met April when she was a bridesmaid for Linda & Justin a couple of years ago and was so honoured when she chose to work with me for her own wedding. It always makes me feel amazing to know that my couples are happy with my work and share that with their friends! April is one of the most relaxed brides I’ve ever worked with – she just wanted to make sure we were running on schedule and everyone was enjoying themselves. She’s so chill in fact that she wanted to burn the amazing paper bouquets that she had from The Paper Wedding – check that out at the end of the post!
