Julie and John first met at a party, and years later went on a climbing trip to Squamish, where Julie dropped John almost 15 feet, nearly killing him. He proposed, so it must have been true love! Julie and John are a tremendous couple. The fact that Julie is visually impaired and still goes rock climbing, hiking, and does all manner of other amazing things is just a start. For their engagement session we went rock climbing together, and I was in awe of how well these two move together as a team. John is just a bundle of energy, and quick to help everyone with everything. Julie is sweet and kind, and absolutely lovely. Together they have a relationship to aspire to.
They wanted to have a rustic wedding with a BBQ reception, and were responsible for making pretty much all of the decor at their reception (along with family and their bridal party) and I have to say I was very impressed! The cake was made by John’s mom and gives a nod to their love of climbing. It was a really cohesive theme and everything was done beautifully. The BBQ sauce wedding favours were the perfect touch (and delicious I might add!). Thank you both so much for including me and my fabulous second shooter Bruce in your wedding celebrations!
Julie’s brother walked her down the aisle.
Julie and John are fortunate to have so many grandparents that were able to attend their wedding!
