Prepare yourselves – this is officially the longest blog post ever.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Suneina & Summit. From the moment I met them back in 2011 I knew we were destined to have a fantastic relationship. To the point that I even got a text from them on their honeymoon! It’s impossible not to smile when you’re with them. Summit is a snappy dresser, and Suneina is a social butterfly, they are both successful doctors, and their families mean everything to them. Above all else, they are totally, utterly, and completely in love with each other. They make a fantastic team, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
It’s obvious that it’s not hard to take a great photo of these two, but I have to say what an absolute pleasure it was to work with a couple who trusted me completely. We had a fantastic time the whole week (there were events from Tuesday straight through to Sunday!) The weddings days were a whirlwind of dancing and music, a horse AND a donkey, a jazz marching band playing Indian music, lots of food, and a whole love of laughter.
I want to say a special thank you to my second shooter and friend Tessa who traveled up from Canmore and stayed with me during the wedding! We had a blast. Also thanks to Bruce who helped out with an overlapping event! We’re so lucky to have an amazing team of second shooters!
This big, fabulous, over the top Edmonton Indian wedding could not have been possible without a stellar team of vendors:
Sikh Ceremony: Nanaksar Gurdwara
Hindu Ceremony: Crowne Plaza
Reception: Delta Edmonton South
Wedding Planner: Atmosphere Wedding Planning and Design
Hair & Makeup: Pink Orchid Studio
Florist: Kate Ashton
Cake: Cake Couture
Decor: Grand Design
Desert Table: LOVEinc Dessert Styling
DJ: DJ Scammy D
Videographer: A Love Story
The week started off with pre-wedding events on both sides.
Suneina’s family is Sikh, and Summit’s is Hindu, so they had two ceremonies, starting with the Sikh one at Nanaksar Gurdwara. Summit got Suneina a gift for each day of the wedding, and on this day it was a Chanel purse! He’s a keeper for sure, and definitely knows one of the ways to Suneina’s heart.

The next day we did it all again, with a Hindu ceremony at the Crowne Plaza. I thought that the first wedding day was amazing, and there was even more in store on the second day. After a few feisty negotiations (and a LOT of dancing) Summit was allowed inside to marry Suneina (again).
Finally, it was time for the reception at the Delta Edmonton South. Tons of dance performances, an amazing candy bar, and a huge party. A perfect end to an amazing week!
