What better way to celebrate and get ready for your wedding than with engagement photos! Suzie & Audi’s Edmonton river valley engagement photos are beautiful – we had a lovely evening together in a secluded park area in south-west Edmonton. Soon I’ll be blogging their wedding photos, and from the time I met them I knew we were going to work well together.
Most of my couples will tell you that their engagement session is a great opportunity to relax and enjoy some time together…one of the best compliments I receive afterwards isn’t quite what you would think! Often they will say (especially the groom) “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!” Most of us don’t have professional photos taken very often, and it can be an unknown factor, for some people it can cause a bit of stress. I think common concerns include “I won’t know what I’m doing”, “I don’t know what to wear”, and most importantly…”I don’t know what to do with my hands!” My approach to engagement photos is to ensure that you don’t have to do <anything> to get the best photos! I talk a lot, we wander around, I get distracted by pretty light and shiny surfaces, and in the end you’ll feel like we just hung out for a little while. Natural photos and expressions are always the best, and sometimes even if I get my couples to pose it’s the ‘in-between’ photos that turn out the best. I have a few tips and tricks to combat double chins, help ladies have beautiful curves, and get TRUE real expressions of love.
Now, all of that being said, it didn’t take me much effort at all to get Suzie & Audi smiling at each other – they have a very natural joy to them, and it’s easy to see why they chose to spend their lives together!
