When I sat down with Teri & Chris last month to go over the details for their wedding, I knew it was going to be one of those perfect days. Teri is a person who knows exactly what she wants, and Chris is easy going and wants to make her happy. A perfect match.
Teri & Chris met at a wedding and were set up by the bride. Fast forward 3 years, and Teri & Chris were celebrating their own wedding. Everything was perfect – from the stunning decor by Elegant Touches, to the dramatic elegance of the Arts Barns, and the absolutely mouthwatering food by Sawmill Catering. This was easily one of the highlights of the year!
Two of my favourite moments from this wedding were getting to shoot in the church where my grandparents were married almost 65 years ago, and getting to climb up in the scaffolding at the Arts Barns for some pretty cool reception photos. And of course spending the day with Teri, Chris, and their enormous bridal party! I had a fun time at the reception sitting with a table full of Chemistry PhDs – it brought me back to my science roots a bit. I’m pretty sure Chris and I actually took a science course together in University back in the day! Big thanks to my fabulous second shooter Bruce for assisting.
I even took my earrings out when climbing up on to the scaffolding (which felt like a giant trampoline mesh) – I didn’t want anything to fall in anyone’s drink! It was really trippy being suspended directly up above the whole reception and I loved it.
