We’ve been looking forward to Ashley & Scott’s wedding all year. A gorgeous fun sweet couple, and fall in the Rockies – we knew if would be an amazing combination. Michael and I had the chance to stay for a few extra days at the Jasper Park Lodge, and even went for a canoe trip across Lac Beauvert. Scott had taken Ashley to Jasper for a weekend early in their relationship and it was a wonderful trip, so when it came time to choose a location for the wedding the choice was obvious for them.

What’s making Ashley cry? Scott’s wedding present to her. She literally was too overcome with emotion to tell me the story at the time, but later in the day I asked her again. Ashley & Scott were recently broken into and Ashley’s jewelry was stolen. They have slowly been replacing the pieces, and the one Scott chose to give her on the wedding day was a monogram necklace.
Ashley got Scott these rad cuff-links for his wedding present. The gears actually interlock and turn!
The staff at the Jasper Park Lodge were fantastic, shuttling everyone around the golf course for photos.
The reception was full of laughs, and with family and friends from all over the country including PEI (where Scott is from) the atmosphere was very spirited. Who can forget the Meat Truck song?
Ashley had a ‘do not play’ list for her reception, which included the Chicken Dance. So it possibly wasn’t the best decision for her to mention to her friends that there was no way she would allow the chicken dance to be played unless someone arrived in a chicken suit. Apparently one of her dear friends thought to himself ‘challenge accepted!’ and went out and bought a chicken suit. It’s hilarious, but also shows how much Ashley & Scott’s friends truly care about them. I spoke to the Chicken afterwards and he said there was no one else in the world he would have done that for.
If you liked these pictures you should check out the cool 50’s concept shoot that we did with Ashley and Scott in the Summer.
Congratulations to a truly wonderful couple!
