This was my first chance to photograph a Cornerstone Theatre Wedding – it’s a beautiful rustic cabin-style venue that in the heart of Canmore. The weather in Canmore gave us a scare (it was supposed to thunderstorm allllll day! Cue the indoor ceremony!) but we ended up with the perfect day for photos and we beat the rain. I got a chance to connect with a few friends at this wedding – I first met Kurt at a good friend’s wedding that I was a bridesmaid in years ago and it’s such a compliment to be chosen for his wedding to Amanda.
One of my favourite touches was their ‘Alberta’ Christmas ornament favour. One of the things I do when I travel is to collect Christmas ornaments, and theirs was a perfect addition to my collection!
Another really special moment to Amanda & Kurt’s wedding day was when they took a moment during their portraits to share private vows with each other. It was so emotional, and I stood back as far as I could to make sure they had lots of privacy! They were so sweet, and I love that only the two of them know what they said to each other.
Best wishes to these two as they start their married life together – they are so clearly head over heels for each other, and have a great group of family and friends behind them!
