Before I even talk about this wedding, I’m giving Sheba and award for my favourite smile of the year. Spending time with her is an absolute joy!
An orthodox wedding can be a long and sometimes somber event, but Sheba & Vinu’s bubbly attitudes kept everything light. Sheba lives in San Francisco, and so our first meeting was over FaceTime! I knew immediately that we were going to have a good time together. The wedding morning started with prayers at home. I was happy to return to the gorgeous St. Basil’s chuch for the orthodox wedding ceremony. The interior of the church is beautiful and I always enjoy having a balcony to be able to get different views.
We chose the University of Alberta for portraits and the style matched perfectly. The traditional architecture and beautifully kept grounds were ideal for elegant wedding photos. The weather was gorgeous, and everyone had a good time! If you’ve worked with me you know I like to wander a lot when I’m shooting…always searching for different angles, or interesting light. I appreciate all of my couples and their bridal parties following me on my travels! The reception was filled with heartfelt speeches, and so many laughs….mostly from Sheba!
